Economic structure and the labor market
South Africa has a gross domestic product of more than 578 billion US dollars and is the largest economy in Africa. But sections of the rural areas in the former homelands are similar to a developing country. The country's economy is the most significant and far developed on the African continent. The labor market in South Africa is characterized by very high unemployment, especially among the black population. Insufficient industrial training is one of the causes.
