Brief an Bekannte in den USA, wer kann mir helfen?
Liebe Familie..,

mit Freude habe ich euren Brief zu Weihnachten gelesen. Vielen Dank auch für die schönen Bilder.
Erstmal möchten auch wir euch recht herzlich noch zum Hochzeitstag gratulieren. Das ist echt eine Leistung.
Bei uns sind alle wohlauf und wir haben tolle Neuigkeiten. Ich kann mit voller stolz behaupten, dass erste Mal Uroma geworden zu sein. ... hat am 04.06.2014 einen gesunden Sohn, namens... zur Welt gebracht. Die ganze Familie freut sich über den Zuwachs und ich freue mich sehr , dies noch mitzuerleben.
Unsere Post kommt etwas verspätet, da wir die aktuelle Adresse nicht finden konnten. Vielleicht können wir auch per Email in Kontakt treten?
So, wir wünschen Euch auch eine besinnliche Weihnachtszeit und einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr.

By the way, congratulations on your wedding day ( = Hochzeit; falls Jubiläum: wedding anniversary). Well done!
As for us we all feel fine and there are great news. I can proudly tell you that I’ve become great-grandmother for the first time.
A. gave birth to a healthy son named … the fourth of July.
The whole family is excited about this addition and I’m glad that I could see it happen.
Our message for christmas is a bit late but we couldn’t find your present adress.
Perhaps we can get in touch by email.
So we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
