Hallo,
ich möchte etwas über einen Hunde-Gasi-Gang schreiben.
Holding the frisbee in both hands, he walked a few steps along the path until he reached the first trees of the forest. All the while the dog hopped and jumped around him.

Ich weiß nicht, ob das "all the while" richtig ist. Vielleicht wäre es besser "all along", oder "all the time" zu benutzen?

Bin kein Hundebesitzer, von daher nur bedingt kompetent ... (:-)
Ich persönlich würde ein einfaches "the whole time" verwenden; "all the while" kommt aber wohl auch in Frage.
Das "Advanced learner's dictionary" definiert den Ausdruck als "for all of a period of time" und bringt das Beispiel:
"There I was thinking you were hard at work and you were upstairs in bed all the while!"
