My first experience in a foreign country is the visit of the International European School in xx. Last year a new period of life started for me and my family. A foreign language, which I don`t good command, the life and the culture, which I date only from the holidays, they fascinate me. Allthough it was heavy in the beginning to get used to the new school and particulary the language of instruction Italian, I have already settled well. The first 2-3 month I felt not so good and I would stop for many times school to return at home to Austria. Thank goodness my mum stayed with me and she cajole and support me. Bit by bit it has improved and I have managed the first school-year well. After the Christmas Holidays I developed my love for the Italian language. My favourite school subjects are italian and history. I formed many friendships and met nice neighbours! With my family I undertook a lot and we visited a lot in and around XX. Especially I like the italian fashion and the fact, that after work the Italian people always met them for a drink. Then they are sitting in front of a pub or on a piazza. The Italians take everything a bit chillier as the Austrians. I have perceived the Italian people as very friendly and soft-hearted. I also like it to linger against the central point and watch there the people. But I don`t like for example, that we pupils have education until 6 o`clock a.m. My schooldays are like workdays, my mum says and I agree her. However I`m happy, that I can visit this school even if the country is in the meantime my “second home”, I`m looking forward again and again to my home in Austria.
My first experience in a foreign country is the visit of the International European School in xx. Last year a new period of life started for me and my family. A foreign language which I didn't speak, the life and the culture which I have only known from holidays, all this fascinated me.
Although it was difficult at the beginning I got used to the new school aswell as the Italian language, I have already settled down well.
The first 2-3 months I didn't feel so good and I wanted to leave school many times and return home to Austria. Thank God my mother supported me and persuaded me to stay. Slowly things improved and I have managed the first year at school well. After the Christmas Holidays I developed my love for the Italian language.
My favourite subjects at school are Italian and history. I have made many friends and met nice neighbours! Me and my family have done many activities, we have visited many places in and around XX. What I like most is the Italien fashion and the fact that the Italians always go for a drink after work, They sit outside a pub or on a piazza. The Italians take things much easier than the Austrians. I have perceived the Italians as very friendly and soft hearted. I also like to linger around the central and watch the poeple.
What I don't like is that the pupils have lessons until 6 o'clock, my mum says that schooldays are like workdays and I agree with her.
However, I'm happy that I can visit this school and meanwhile this country is my 'second home'. But I'm looking forward to my home in Austria.
Ich hoffe, dass ich das alles richtig verstanden habe, was du sagen wolltest, liebe Lisa
