Auf Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armenian_alphabet) fehlt leider das IPA. Aber in der westarmenischen Transkription wird (angeblich; also soweit man Wikipedia trauen kann) das ի wohl sowohl als i als auch als e wiedergegeben. Irgendeinen Grund muss das ja haben, oder?
Leider finde ich keine anderen Ressourcen über die Aussprache des իs in den beiden Dialekten. Dein LOL ist daher ziemlich unangebracht.
