Hi all,
can some where translate me the fellowing part?
Welcome in Graefenthal...
Welcome to a beautiful Town, welcome to a beautiful County in the southern part of the Thuringia Forest.
Graefenthal was foundet in the Year 1337 the first time as a Marketplace for the Traders on the historic tradingroutes from Nuremberg to Leipzig.
In 1442 Graefenthal became the a town through a charter from the Earl of Orlamuend.
In 1860 the first Brewerie was founded called zum Pappenheimer and one year the first Porcellainfactory in the following years many companys found their way to Graefenthal.
After the WW II Graefenthal was a Bordertown to West Germany. In 1989 when the Border was opened Graefenthal began a new live.Tourists from all over the world visit the Town and often ride one of the most beautiful steam railways in Germany.Since 1992 the the original operator the German Railway (DB) closed this Line but the County are very hopeful to reopen this Line in the near Future with a new Operator.
The view from our Castle down to Town is very inspiring. And a good Place to find Information is the Homeland and Bordermuseum in Graefenthal.
Graefenthal ist the best Point to start or finish a Bike tour around the County with fine Hills and many Biker friendly Curves.
Our Hills are very fine for Hiking and Bycicles.
In few words Graefenthal is a place to stay cozy some days and nights. Our local population is very friendly to all of our guests and children and pets are welcome .
Just ask for our weekend or holiday surprise.
this is for a nonprofit Tourism Board
you can help me very much.
thanks
best regards
