ich weiß es nicht, aber ich denke "di mezzo" kann auch heißen "dazwischen"

also: c'è di mezzo il mare = da ist dazwischen das Meer

aber das ist reine Spekulation..... :))

ist aber doch so richtig, ich habe nachgefragt....

mir ist jetzt nicht ganz klar, was du mit "ist doch so richtig meinst". Also nur, damit ichs nicht falsch verstehe: Welche Variante ist nun die richtige?

so heißt es wörtlich:
= zwischen sagen und tun gibt es dazwischen das Meer
